Master Surya
You may not know, but the only retirement for an exploited Master Animal is slaughter or euthanasia in case he is not protected by a Sanctuary or someone. We pull carts and spend years walking, running and jumping, kicked with spurs and being whiped without any affection.
If we make a profit we live and if not, they get rid of us like outdated and broken, beaten and rusted cars. We are strong, but we are not iron made. Only the hearts of people who do not feel are made of brass.
My name is Surya and means sun. When I entered the Sanctuary, the closed sky of weeks of rain opened up to illuminate my arrival! My hip is broken and of no use to anyone who sees me as a machine, but a lot if you conect with the mysteries of my love. May you can delve in the wisdom of the laws of the universe that dictate the value of a life is not worth what it does, but who it is. Let us just be.

– Divine Protection – The outcome of my life is manifest hope. When I was referred for euthanasia, a boy who didn’t even know me well told my tutor that there could be another way, he fought for me and brought me here. May you know that here now angels guard you and use you so that love awakens in all beings.
– Solitude – I spent the last two years prior to my rebirth alone in a pasture where I was so often tied to a fence. It was because I found peace in my company that I survived. May you also be your own friend.
Master Fenix, Master Isis and Master Santa Carolina
Master Fenix arrived at the Sanctuary with her inseparable friend Master Isis, who was pregnant, after the rescue where both were in a dreadful situation of existence.
Both were explored not only on seasonal horseback rides, but also on carts, against their will, on construction materials transportation. The effort was so unbearable that Master Isis burst her pelvic muscles and today she cannot keep the vagina and uterus inside her body due to the prolapse – which caused that at the time of her baby birth, Mestra Santa Carolina, was stillborn.
Throughout the journey, Master Fenix’s love for Master Isis led us to several emotions, given that she doesn’t distance herself for anything from her friend and without her support, Master Isis’s depressive postpartum would certainly have taken her.

Master Anjo
Master Donkey Anjo was rescued mute after years of exploitation pulling carts. Legs and arms taken over by fungus and bacteria. He knew spur, whip, hunger and neglect. He fought for years against sequels in the Sanctuary, where days ago he told us goodbye.
Master Anjo taught and continues to teach us about gratitude, kindness and lovingness. And today he rests his body in the orchard, his favorite place, where he planted so many smiles. May they all be fruitful.
Teachings
• Humility – May we be humble to learn what our hearts have forgotten. Love will save us all.
• Gentleness – We need to learn to have fluency so that we don’t apologize so much for what we so often thoughtlessly say, but also because stillness brings awareness.
• Loyalty – Love is all that matters. Always. And forever. Above everything else. …And when we accept to be companions and truthful, courageous and authentic.
Master Pegasus
Master Pegasus was rescued in front of the Sanctuary by Guardian Vitor, as he was being whipped with a stick, spur, whip and scream.
We managed to rescue him, but the sequels from times gone by haunt him. For having stayed in the hot sun, tied up waiting for those who would ride him on tourist rides, or at the door of bars while his riders intoxicated themselves without remembering him. Or even in pilgrimages. In rodeos! Master Pegasus has skin cancer. From nervousness, liver problems. Now in his senior years, he has become blind in both eyes, but he is still cared for and much loved!

• Wisdom – May you know how to live your life. And if necessary, may you know how to die your life. To begin to truly live it.
• Detachment – Immediate pleasures delay the spiritual and evolutionary path of every soul.
• Courage – Sometimes the beginning comes only after an ending that you have to be very brave to experience!

To join the Ashram and become an Animal Master’s Apprentice, choose the corresponding Family on the page and the Animal Master you want to become an Apprentice.
